Welcome to the Suncoast Field Hockey Club

The Suncoast Field Hockey Club offers beginning level field hockey for girls from kindergarten through high school.  Our goal is to create a long-term field hockey club in the Sarasota/Bradenton region of Florida, with both recreational and competitive level programs that play year-round.  Fall 2021 was our FIRST season and it was amazing, so we will continue with a Spring 2022 season from Sunday, January 16th, 2022 through Sunday, March 6th, 2022!

We are the first non-profit field hockey program on the west coast of FL, dedicated to fostering the love of the game for kids (girls at this time).

We are also looking for volunteers to help coach and eventually referee and run the lines during games.  We also need volunteers in other area as well.  Any help that you are willing to offer would be much appreciated, and all volunteers over a certain amount of hours receive discounts on their daughter(s) fees for that particular session.

Girls 10 and under will play at 3:30 pm, Sundays at Bob Gardner Park located in Lakewood Ranch at 2710 White Eagle Blvd, Bradenton, FL 34211.  Anyone who refers players who join our league will receive a discount code for their registration.

Girls 11 and above will play from 4 pm to 5:15 pm on Sundays at Bob Gardner Park located in Lakewood Ranch at 2710 White Eagle Blvd, Bradenton, FL 34211.  Anyone who refers players who join our league will receive a discount code for their registration.

OUR LONG TERM GOAL IS TO CREATE A COMPETITIVE FIELD HOCKEY PROGRAM ON THE WEST COAST OF FLORIDA.  WE WOULD LOVE TO HAVE MULTIPLE TEAMS, INCLUDING TEAMS THAT COULD TRAVEL TO TOURNAMENTS IN OTHER LOCATIONS. If you know of anyone that would like to play or like to help us reach this goal, please have them contact us!

Equipment that is required to play field hockey - a stick, shin guards and a mouth guard are a MUST.  Optional, but highly recommended, especially for kids 10 and older, is a glove to protect the left hand.  A field hockey stick is only used in one direction, unlike ice hockey, so the hand that needs the glove is the left hand.

Any questions, the contact information is below or you can reach us through our Facebook page.  THANK YOU for reading this far and please spread the word!!!
